A: The right course depends on why you need training. Healthcare professionals and students in healthcare programs commonly require BLS, while workplaces, teachers, coaches, childcare providers, and members of the general public may need a Heartsaver or HSI CPR, AED, and/or First Aid course.

Requirements can vary by employer, school, licensing agency, or organization, so we always recommend confirming which certification you need before registering. If you’re unsure, contact CPR By Jeremy and we’ll be happy to help you understand the available options.

A: CPR By Jeremy makes training convenient by bringing the class to you. Training can be provided at your home, workplace, school, organization, or another appropriate location throughout the New York metropolitan area.

A: No minimum is required. CPR By Jeremy is happy to train a single student as well as larger groups.

For larger classes, we may recommend multiple sessions or additional arrangements to ensure every student has enough time for hands-on practice, questions, and individual instruction

A: Blended learning combines online coursework with a hands-on skills session. Students complete the online portion on their own schedule and then complete the required hands-on training and skills evaluation.

For AHA courses requiring CPR skills, completion of the hands-on component is required to receive the applicable course completion card.

A: CPR By Jeremy offers blended learning for many courses, but CPR courses requiring hands-on skills cannot simply be completed through an online video or written course when a hands-on certification is required.

OSHA has specifically stated that online-only First Aid and CPR instruction without a hands-on component does not satisfy certain OSHA training requirements. Always check with your employer, school, or licensing agency to confirm what type of certification they require.

A: Electronic course completion cards are generally issued after all course requirements have been successfully completed. In many cases, students receive their eCard the same day, although processing times may occasionally vary.

A: Certification periods vary depending on the course, training organization, employer, licensing agency, or other requirements that may apply to you. Many CPR and First Aid certifications are valid for a set period of time, but you should always confirm the specific requirements for your workplace, school, or professional credential.

A: CPR By Jeremy offers courses from the American Heart Association (AHA) and Health & Safety Institute (HSI). Course availability and the organization issuing the certification vary depending on the class selected and the student’s training requirements.

A: Payment is generally completed through our secure online scheduling and payment system. Other payment arrangements may be available when requested in advance. Contact CPR By Jeremy if you have questions about payment for an individual or group class.

A: CPR By Jeremy provides a full refund for cancellations made at least 72 hours before your scheduled class. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice may be eligible for a partial refund. We also allow students to reschedule their class in certain situations.

For Blended Learning courses, if CPR By Jeremy has provided an online course key and the code has been activated, a $40 fee will be deducted from any applicable refund. Rescheduling remains available at no additional charge in accordance with our rescheduling policy.

A: CPR By Jeremy maintains multiple adult and infant training manikins to provide students with plenty of hands-on practice. We make every effort to minimize equipment sharing whenever possible.

When equipment must be shared, it is cleaned and disinfected between students in accordance with applicable training and manufacturer guidelines.

A: Yes. If you completed your training through CPR By Jeremy, contact us at 845-444-CPR1 (2771) and we can help determine the best way to access or replace your course completion card. Replacement fees may apply in some situations.

A: These courses are generally designed for people who need CPR, AED, and/or First Aid training but do not require healthcare-provider BLS. Students commonly include teachers, coaches, childcare providers, personal trainers, workplace employees, restaurant staff, community members, and others who need training for work or personal preparedness.

A: BLS is generally intended for healthcare professionals and others whose job or education requires healthcare-level CPR training. This may include EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, medical assistants, dental professionals, respiratory therapists, healthcare students, and other clinical personnel.

Because requirements vary, always confirm the exact certification required by your employer, school, or licensing organization before registering.

A: Good Samaritan protections vary by state and by the circumstances of an emergency. In New York, state law generally provides liability protection to people who voluntarily provide emergency assistance in good faith and without expectation of compensation, subject to limitations and exceptions.
